Review & Approval

Following review and approval of the submitted documents, Monterey One Water will issue a permit number unique to your business. This number is non-transferrable. You should affix the permit number in 4-inch, contrasting lettering to both sides of each vehicle listed in your permit. You should also affix the permit sticker issued by the Monterey County Health Department as part of your vehicle inspection to the front windshield. Trucks without a valid Monterey County permit sticker will be turned away without discharging until such a time that the sticker is properly displayed.

Before discharge can begin, Monterey One Water requires a visual inspection of each permitted vehicle, sequentially or all at once, to ensure compliance with all discharge requirements. Successful inspections will also include the issuance of a non-transferable, radio frequency identification tag that is affixed to each of your vehicles to allow site access to our Regional Treatment Plant for discharging. Dischargers will also receive training on the proper onsite discharge process, including instructions on how to submit a completed Liquid Waste Manifest. Submittal of a Liquid Waste Manifest is required with the discharge of every load and documents details of the discharge content.

Payment

After your documents have been approved, you must place two checks on deposit ($200 permit fee and $1,000 deposit fee), payable to Monterey One Water at our Administration Building in person or via mail:
