Monterey One Water is considering a change to its billing process and cycles.
Monterey One Water currently uses a third-party vendor to bill customers bi-monthly (6 statements per year). Due to some limitations in the Agency's accounting software, the Board of Directors is using this opportunity to evaluate the Agency’s billing process and cycles. Specifically, the Agency is considering using the County of Monterey via property tax billings to collect customer fees. This change would stop bi-monthly billings from Monterey One Water and instead move the Agency’s sewer fees to a property’s tax bill (paid 1 or 2 times each year).
